Business Spotlight: Tipton Country Club

✨Business Spotlight #2✨
⛳️Our next Business Spotlight features the Tipton Country Club. ⛳️
The Country Club has been a great activity for the community for many years. I met with Johnnie Twyman, the current Board President for the second year, and we talked about all things pertaining to the Club. Some of Johnnie’s favorite things about the Club – the history behind it and just having a place for the community and even more, kids, to come together for something fun and active. 83 kids attended their Jr Golf Camp this year, the biggest turnout yet, and that makes the board, workers and volunteers so happy to know that what they are doing is paying off and making an impact. Johnnie loves seeing more kids out there like when he was growing up.
A big thing this year was that they have not had a hired greenskeeper, it has been volunteers keeping up with the Course daily to make sure it looks good and can be used! If you are a member or just a golfer that likes to use Tipton Country Club – if you see someone out there working on the course or know someone that does, give them a BIG thank you. These volunteers put in their own time and effort to ensure the upkeep, which is probably much more than you would think – it’s not just mowing and weed eating.
The course has hired a new club house manager, to be named in the next couple of weeks, but they are still hiring for some part-time nights/weekends positions. The Club currently has 5 employees.
Big Promotions currently:
•Punch cards: $220 for 10 18-hole rounds, no cart
•August Special: Pay for a Membership in FULL, and it will cover till the end of 2025.
•With a Tipton Membership, you can also golf at the California Country Club 10 times at no cost besides cart
Johnnie said they have had very good turnouts for all the tournaments so far this year, thanks to the community and their friends and family. Make sure you check their Facebook and website for news on events and tournaments happening- I will link both to this post!
