Cards earn 14 spots on Media All-District, Duke named Coach of the Year

The Tipton Cardinal football program filled 14 spots on the Central Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Class 1 All-District team during a meeting at Sweet Smokin’ BBQ in Jefferson City, Wednesday, Nov. 15.

One of those spots went to Coach Bill Duke, in his third year as head coach at Tipton, who was named the Class 1 Coach of the Year.

“This title is not possible without this team,” said Duke. “They have put in the work to help make all these spots possible, including mine.”

Cardinals named to first team all-district are: Offense, Lucas Cashman, junior, running back; Sam Duke, sophomore, and Emmett Haas, senior, linemen: Defense, Sam Duke, sophomore, lineman; Lucas Cashman, junior, linebacker; and  Jackson Bailey, senior, defensive back:

Second team offense: Cain Myers, senior, quarterback; Jackson Bailey, senior, running back; Charlie Miller, senior, wide receiver; and Max Maddex, senior, lineman; Defense, Brenton Arnold, senior, and Paxton Pyle, linebackers; and Cain Myers, senior, punter.

Other players in the central district named to the Class 1 all-district teams are as follows.

First team offense: Quarterback Gage Adler, sophomore, Westran; all-purpose Patrick White, sophomore, Salisbury; running backs, Parker Craig, senior, Windsor, and Caleb Sager, sophomore, Harrisburg; wide receivers, Hunter Cole, senior, Harrisburg, Eli Jackson, senior, Salisbury, and Dawson Parrott, sophomore, Lincoln; lineman Austin Starbuck, senior, Harrisburg, and Hayden Wilson, junior, Windsor; and kicker, Guillermo Lopez, senior, Westran.

First team defense: Linemen Marshall Kitchen, junior, Tarayle Wallace, senior, and Dawson Wilderson, senior, all from Westran; linebackers Alex Bauer, junior, Windsor, Brady Hollmann, senior, Westran, and Victor Shouse, sophomore, Harrisburg; defensive backs, Reece Heany, sophomore, Windsor, and Jonathan Witt, sophomore, Russellville; and punter, Cayden Cook, senior, Russellville.

Second team offense: All-purpose Justin Seaver, sophomore, Russellville; running backs Rowan Cox, freshman, Windsor, and Carter Vroman, sophomore, Fayette; wide receivers Marshall Kitchen, junior, Westran, and Payton Oeth, sophomore, Fayette; lineman Brayden Paull, junior, Russellville, John Wahlert, senior, Windsor, and Jacob Wood, junior, Fayette.
