The Tipton Times held its annual Super Football Contest, with questions regarding the NFL Super Bowl 59 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La.
The game ended with the Eagles taking a 40-22 win over the Chiefs who were in the bid for their third consecutive national title.
The contest had 73 entries, competing for prizes worth $540 dollars donated by local businesses.
First place went to Brad Homan with a perfect score saying, “Going against the Chiefs was worth it.”
B. Homan went home with the Beast Pizza, donated by Bobbio’s Eatery, an oil change from California Chrysler, a one-year subscription to The Tipton Times, a $25 gift card to Tipton One Stop and a $25 gift card to Subway, and a $30 gift card to Butch’s Small Engines.
Brad’s brother, Justin Homan, took second place missing just one point. He won a package filled with a $50 gift card from Brothers Market, a gift bag from The Flower Shop with a Drink Spot cup, hot chocolate mix and fiesta dip mix, and a movie basket from Timberline Realty with candy, popcorn, a hoodie, coozies and $25 Visa gift card.
Third place went to Braxton Hazelton, missing just two points. Hazleton won a $50 gift card to O’Reilly’s donated by Spray Right Foam, a $30 gift card to Downtown Cafe/Aces, a $25 chamber gift card from The Tipton Latham Bank, and a drill from Proctor’s Building Material.
