NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR DETERMINATION OF HEIRSHIP

   To all persons who claim any interest in the property of OLIS DELILA GRYDER, deceased, as an heir of said decedent or through any heir of said decedent:

   You are hereby notified that a petition has been filed in the above court by Carol Sherman for the determination of the heirs of OLIS DELILA GRYDER, deceased, and of their respective interest as such heirs in and with respect to the following described property owned by said decedent at the time of death, to wit:  Globe Life Insurance Proceeds No. xxxx2631; Western & Southern Insurance Proceeds No. xxxx7585, Fidelity No. xxxxAR24, PNC Bank No. xxxx6715, USAble Life No. xxxx5699, Blue Cross Blue Shield No. xxxxR.090, JAX Federal Investment No. xxxx5844.

   You are hereby required to appear to answer said petition on OCTOBER 2, 2024, at 9 o’clock a.m. in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Moniteau County, Missouri, at 200 E. Main, California, MO 65018, at which time and place said petition will be heard. Should you fail therein, judgment may be entered in due course upon said petition.

NOVEMBER 5, 2024 GENERAL ELECTION

   Deadline for voter registration is October 9, 2024.

   Absentee Ballots by mail – Sept. 24 thru Oct. 23  

   Absentee Ballots in person –Sept. 24 thru Nov. 4  

   To vote, you must present one of the following:  a Missouri or United States government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, nondriver license, passport or military ID.  If you do not possess any of these, you may obtain one (1) nondriver license at no charge. If you need assistance obtaining a nondriver license to vote, please contact the secretary of state’s office at 866-868-3245.

   The deadline to be a registered voter and eligible to vote in the November 5, 2024, General Election is Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024. New residents to the county or first-time registrants must file their voter registration application by this deadline. Voter registration may be completed in the county clerk’s office during the hours of 8 a.m. to  noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Voters who have had a change of address in the county need to update their new physical address to keep their voter registration active. Failure to keep addresses current will result in the voter being removed after the passing of two general elections.

    Absentee ballots are available for voters who may be out of the county on Election Day or voters who are confined to their homes due to illness or physical disability and cannot go to the polls on Election Day. Applicants shall state their name, address at which they are registered, reason for voting an absentee ballot and the address to which the ballot is to be mailed. Applications for a voter by their guardian or relative within the second degree may be made for the voter, but the relative or guardian must appear in person at the county clerk’s office to make that absentee application request. The last day absentee ballots may be mailed is Wednesday, Oct. 23.

   Voting in person at the office of the county clerk will begin on Sept. 24 and continue through Nov. 4. The clerk’s office will also be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 2.

   There is also NO EXCUSE in person (with acceptable personal photo ID) absentee voting two weeks prior to the election, starting on Oct. 22.
