Tipton works hard, but it also enjoys and takes time to play.

Tipton City Park features a playground, ballfields, fishing lake, horseshoe pit and much more. Lloyd Carter baseball field, the  softball field for both fast and slow pitch, basketball court, playground equipment, a lake with walking path around it, disc golf, gazebo and several shelter houses all provide opportunities for area residents and families.  Shelter houses can be reserved by calling Tipton City Hall at 660-433-2323.

The Tipton Country Club has a nine-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse with year-round activity for members.  In May 2017, a new swimming pool was opened with a large sun deck and pavilion area. Memberships range from Social , Golf and Pool use only to Full.

There is an abundance of streams and rivers nearby for fishing, and hunting opportunities are also available. Tipton is 4 miles north of Manito Lake, an 80 acre lake surrounded by 800 acres of upland wildlife area owned and managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. The Lamine River Wildlife Area is about 15 miles west of Tipton where hunting and fishing are also popular.

Tipton is within 30 miles of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, 100 miles east of Kansas City and 140 miles west of St. Louis.
